See picture. I cut a ball open as well as another very popular 5 layer golf ball brand. The ball on the left is the major well known brand, while the ball on the right is the Agape MP5s.The ball seems to hold up well to play, and is decent enough for an average player. However, if consistency is what you are after, these balls could very well provide you with some errant shots. If you notice the thicker blue layer, it is not even all the way around, this can cause odd weight distribution on what should be a perfectly round ball. Most major brand balls that I cut open have nice even layers all throughout, so this is the first red flag. Now I realize this is not trying to be a premium golf ball, but at $35\dozen, there are more consistently made options out there. This ball should be in the $20-25 price range for it to be considered a good budget ball, which is exactly what this should be.

The MP5S ball is a solid ball and does have spin when you launch it, so there is "some control". The price point of the is close to a Pro-V1 and that's the part that doesn't line up with me. However, I got to use these as a Vine program participant and that was a bonus. The best part of these is not off the tee but approach and short distance...I was able to control the ball even though these were unfamiliar. So, it's worth taking a shot with these in my opinion. Just to be clear my golf ball of choice personally is the Calloway Soft Matte Orange...

Evaluating golf balls is difficult for me, especially when it comes to durability. I tend to lose them before I wear them out! But if there's anything I noticed about these is that off the tee, I hit them straighter. I assume that's a spin thing. And if I'm hitting them down the fairway, distance doesn't matter so much (although, I think I drove them farther because of hitting the fairways). And I don't lose as many :-). Around the greens, I chipped and pitched them as I would a higher-cost golf ball. I'm still trying to break 90, so take this review with a grain of salt. And I have found less expensive golf balls on Amazon that work better for me (see the Wilson Profiles for example). All-in-all, a good golf ball that I would buy before a Titleist for my handicap.

It took me a while to get a couple rounds of golf in with these Agape MP5S White DuraPlus Urethane Golf Balls. It is winter time and the weather (and life) just weren't cooperating. But, this week there was a nice warm-up and I have had the opportunity to play these balls a couple of times. I am a 67 year old golfer who doesn't hit the ball as far as I once did. I am a 25 handicapper. My overall impression of this ball: not bad at all. At a price per ball of $3.33 ($40 for a dozen), these balls are $1.25 less per ball than a Titleist Pro V1 (my all-time favorite ball. I don't buy them because they are too expensive for my game but I love finding them on the golf course). I like saving money and, frankly, my game isn't worth the extra money that a Titleist commands. So, I was interested in this ball because of the 5 piece dual-core design and more affordable price. Would I notice the difference? Would this ball catapult off my irons any better (or about the same?). Would my score go down? Short answer: NO.Well, here's my personal experience and point of view: I don't feel that I hit these as well as a Pro V1. In fact, they played about the same as a Callaway Super Soft (my go-to ball for price vs. performance). If i caught this ball in the sweet spot of my club it felt like butter. But I didn't notice any appreciable difference in distance or spin around the greens.Durability: again, not bad at all. These seemed to scuff a bit less than other balls I played, but one of the balls also displayed a little "fraying/cut" of the cover by the end of the round. I expected a bit more durability after one round. But your results may vary.Spin: could I get these balls to check up quickly on the green? I didn't notice any difference vs the other name brand balls I have played.Putting: they felt fine and I appreciated the putting alignment arrow on the ball (now, if I could only consistently putt in the same direction as the arrow). The bottom line: if you hit these in the sweet spot of your clubs you will like them. Overall, this was a nice enough ball and it will save you some money over some of the higher priced options available. Give them a try.

I typically play a Titleist ProV1x golf ball and thought I'd give these a try. Not having heard of them, but advertised as a 5 piece ball I was intrigued. So with that said, my comparison is against the best ball in golf, the Titleist ProV1x. I really liked the feel of this ball off the driver. It felt like it compressed a lot and gave me a ton of distance. Around the greens felt similar to my go to ball, but not quite as good when I tried to spin it. I played 10 holes with the first ball and it did scuff more than my Titleist, but the cost point would be in my favor even if I swapped balls. I give this ball a 9 out of 10. I can't see myself switching anytime soon, but I would recommend these to someone looking for a great ball at a much lower price point than Titleist.
